On Thursday, August 13, 2015 the members of the Baldwinsville Vol. Fire Company participated in water rescue training utilizing both our land and water rescue equipment and techniques.  Member participated in either a day or evening sesion.  Each session included a classroom rerfresher on rescue and waterway terminology and techniques while the hands-on portion put all of the techniques to use.  The Baldwinsville Volunteers protect roughly 9 miles of waterways including a low level dam, NYS lock system, and countless underwater obstacles/snag points.  We not only provide first responder rescue equipment but we maintain 4 rescue boats of various types and for multiple different water scenarios and seasons (including 1 fire boat), 1 jet ski, and a full compliment of dive equipment.
